WILDLIFE – AN ARTIST’S VIEW: THE MANX MUSEUM, DOUGLAS, ISLE OF MAN: OPENS SEPTEMBER 14TH.
2013 marks a milestone for me in that I have been a full-time professional artist for 25 years.
To mark this I am having a major exhibition at the Manx Museum in Douglas, opening on September 14 and remaining until January2014.
It will be part retrospective – with some very early paintings and some which have won awards – such as the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year and those which have been exhibited in ‘Birds in Art’.
A book of my work is also being published to coincide with the exhibition
There will also be around 35 new works for sale, including the original paintings for a new stamp series on ‘Big Cats’ (in association with CITES: the International Convention on the Trade in Endangered Species)

New painting of saddle billed storks and red lechwe in the Okavango Delta, Botswana, has been selected for the prestigious ‘Birds in Art’ 2013 exhibition at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum Wasau Wisconsin USA. It was selected from 974 entries submitted by 605 artists. This is the 6th time one of my paintings has been selected for this exhibition.The exhibition takes place in September http://www.lywam.org/birdsinart/.
Paintings of an otter and polar bear have been selected as finalists in the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year 2013 and David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year 2013 competitions respectively. Final judging takes place in the next few months. I have been a category winner in the BBC competition for the last three years.
